  • Last week…
    • Three of the four House edu­ca­tion sub­com­mit­tees closed sub­ject to the call of the chair.
    • Some high­lights of bills that passed through com­mit­tees include leg­is­la­tion relat­ed to port­fo­lio require­ments, con­cealed car­ry in schools, ACE assess­ments, phys­i­cal edu­ca­tion require­ments, and releas­ing of test ques­tions.
  • This week…
    • The final House edu­ca­tion sub­com­mit­tee (High­er Edu­ca­tion) is expect­ed to fin­ish its’ final cal­en­dar this week and close.
    • The Edu­ca­tion Sav­ings Account bill (SB 795) is sched­uled to be heard in Sen­ate Edu­ca­tion on Wednes­day.
    • The House and Sen­ate Edu­ca­tion Com­mit­tees have full cal­en­dars of bills this week, with about 40 edu­ca­tion bills before the House Com­mit­tee and 50 before the Sen­ate Com­mit­tee. Check out our Bill Track­er for a full list of bills that are sched­uled to be heard.
