    • HB939, the con­tro­ver­sial Edu­ca­tion Sav­ings Account leg­is­la­tion, passed a key House Com­mit­tee this week with a 14–9 vote.
    • Oth­er bills that advanced through edu­ca­tion com­mit­tees include ones requir­ing career apti­tude assess­ments for stu­dents, report­ing on instruc­tion­al salaries and wages to increase trans­paren­cy, and for LEA’s poli­cies for alter­na­tives to exclu­sion­ary dis­ci­pline to include restora­tive jus­tice prac­tices.
  • This Week…
    • HB939 (ESA bill) will be heard in House Gov­ern­ment Oper­a­tions this week and the cor­re­spond­ing Sen­ate bill (SB795) will be heard in the Sen­ate Edu­ca­tion Com­mit­tee this Wednes­day.
    • The four House Edu­ca­tion Sub­com­mit­tees are expect­ed to hear their final cal­en­dars this week.
