Coalition Partners Come Together to Oppose Anti-Immigrant Legislation

Partner organizations came together to oppose SB2333/HB2312, which seeks to end the use of consular ID cards, used by many immigrants, as a valid form of proving identity or establishing residency. The proposed legislation has many consequences for immigrant communities. Especially of concern for partners of the Tennessee Educational Equity Coalition is that the bill would deter immigrant parents with consular ID cards from engaging in their child’s schools.
